LSA dissertation of the year 2016

LSA offers two annual awards - undergraduate (Nikki Ventris Memorial Award) and postgraduate (Sue Glyptis Memorial Award) - for leisure studies dissertations, supervised by a current LSA member, of an exemplary standard. 

The prize for each winner consists of: 

  1. £100 cash
  2. The opportunity to present the findings of the dissertation at the LSA annual conference (Leeds in 2017)
  3. Free attendance (registration and accommodation) at the subsequent LSA annual conference
  4. Publication of a summary of the winning dissertation in the LSA blog

How to have your student considered for the award:

Tutors should submit an electronic (MS Word or PDF) copy of the dissertation, along with an electronic copy of the submission form (below), to Award Administrator and LSA Secretary, 
Dr. Thomas Fletcher.  Entries posted to 'Dr. Thomas Fletcher, Macauley Hall 119, Leeds Beckett University. Headingley Campus, Leeds LS6 3QU' will also be accepted, in conjunction with an 'electronic copy' of the submission form (below).
